Bad Luck in Poker
Posted in Poker on 10/25/2012 09:21 am by ChristopherFor a match where most players occasionally consider good luck, there are lots of folklore in poker. When you say that someone was fortunate in that poker tournament they won, be mindful of how you mention it. For example, if you mention that you were unfortunate, your luck may not change.
Ok, that might sound a bit ubsurd, but poker is a casino game loaded with superstitions. Did you know that if you are betting a game with 2 different decks and you’re asked to choose the deck, you should always select the deck that is furthest from you? Or, how about If you have a run of poor cards, you have to sit on a hankerchief to break your bad luck? It is certainly thought of as good fortune to blow through a deck of cards when they’re being randomized.
Some other interesting poker folklores are:
- You can change the run of cards by passing around your chair three times.
- The most beneficial chair at the poker table looks at the door.
- The most detrimental position has its rear to a fireplace.
- When switching chairs, you need to always do so following the clock.
- The worst poker card is the 4 of clubs.
- It is very unfortunate to cross your legs when sitting at the poker table.
- Monday is a awful day for gambling on cards.
- The 13th is also a bad day, regardless of what day of the week it is.
