Have you observed the new PokerPro texas hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks back when I took a short trip with my mom to the WinStar Betting house in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I watched how the other people around the PokerPro tables relate with one another. It was fairly fascinating to say the very least. Since the poker table was computer powered, there have been no poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stale. Perhaps I was the only one that noticed this, but I did notice the gamblers at the table had a dull quality to them. The cause of this may be since there was no human interaction with the croupier, the ambiance was relatively dull and the gamblers looked bored stiff. It was nearly as if I was seeing a live version of a web-based texas hold em poker room instead of sitting with warm bodied humans. It was a little freaky and I continued to have flash backs to a show of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the reside tables was over an hour, I made the decision to see how the game action was and to understanding this new hold’em poker gaming technology. Soon after betting a few hands, I definitely felt like I was wagering at home. The lack of activity on the table was the primary reason. I prefer to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are possible at these computer tables.
One more thing I discovered was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I wagered a good deal of hands at the PokerPro table and discovered that the wager on was a great deal like an online texas holdem poker site. That could have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to become very odd.
Soon after wagering a few rounds with this "unique texas holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m better off betting hold em poker on the net at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Betting house were to acquire rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d shed a lot of players.
