Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
