Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 where he enjoyed betting on various card games at a young age. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the best gamblers would frequently compete against each other. He was able to access a number of the best players in chess. With their help, Howard would tweak his logical thinking abilities. Howard used these strategic ideas in the game of No-Limit Texas Holdem.
Howard Lederer also helped his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a superb student of poker as she would consistently be asking questions about how to make the proper decision. Howard told Annie Duke to head out to Sin City and play in the World Series of Poker tournaments. She is one of the best women players the poker arena ever. Howard headed to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and competed in money games for the subsequent 10 years. When the WPT grew in popularity, Howard made the decision to play more tournaments.
