Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the house receives 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
